The Power of Being Forgiven

The Power of Being Forgiven I want to share with you some important thoughts concerning being forgiven by God. God desires us to live in the power of being forgiven by Him.  1 John 3:21 says, Beloved, if our hearts condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. Knowing that God has really forgiven us, naturally produces a confidence in our hearts towards Him. We should understand that any sin we have repented of and asked God’s forgiveness for, no longer exists. To God, it is as if it has never happened. Now to us, we must learn to walk in this freedom, a freedom that draws us to God and empowers us to live for Him. The following are some scriptures concerning forgiveness…. 1 John 1:9 (KJV) 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Colossians 1:13-14 (KJV) 13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Ephesians 1:17 (KJV) 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: Hebrews 8:12 (KJV) 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. Psalms 103:2-3 (KJV) 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Isaiah 43:25 (KJV) 25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. Isaiah 38:17 (KJV)… for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back. Psalms 103:10-12 (KJV) 10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. 11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. 12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Let’s learn to live in the power of being forgiven.
