Our congregation’s Stephen Ministry equips lay people to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals in our congregation and community who are experiencing difficulties in their lives.

Stephen Ministers are congregation members trained by Stephen Leaders to offer high-quality, one-to-one Christian care to people going through tough times. A Stephen Minister usually provides care to one person at a time, meeting with that person once a week for about an hour. Twice a month, Stephen Ministers gather with their Stephen Leaders for supervision and continuing education.

We all experience challenges in life…times when we could benefit from the support of a caring Christian friend. Stephen Ministers are ready to provide the emotional and spiritual care you need when faced with a crisis or difficulty such as…

1. Loss of a loved one
2. Hospitalization
3. Divorce or separation
4. Loneliness or discouragement
5. Unemployment or job crisis
6. A terminal illness
7. Aging
8. Birth, adoption, miscarriage, or infertility
9. A chronic illness
10. Relocation
11. Recovery after an accident or disaster

Stephen Ministry is a confidential ministry; the identity of those receiving care and what takes place in each caring relationship remains private.

Stephen Ministers reach out with God’s love to people who are hurting- both congregation members and nonmembers alike.
