Jesus is to Me

Never has there been a more important time for all of us to know who Jesus is, but especially who He is to us personally. Be sure of this, who He is, is who He wants to be to you and I. God, in revealing who He is, also reveals what it is He wants to be and do for us. There may be no better way to know who He is and what it is He wants to do for us than by the Redemptive names which God gave to man of Himself. Those names not only reveal who He is, but what it is He will do for us and be to us and because they are redemptive and covenant names, means it is true forever of Him towards us. Please remember, they reveal who He is and what it is He wants to be to us.

The 7 Redemptive or Covenant Names God Revealed Himself by are:
  1. Jehovah Jireh – The Lord will provide; The Lord our Provider (Genesis 22:14)
  2. Jehovah Rapha – I am the Lord that heals you; The Lord your Physician (Exodus 15:26)
  3. Jehovah Nissi – The Lord our Banner or Victor (Exodus 17:15)
  4. Jehovah Ra-ah – The Lord is my Shepherd (Psalm 23:1)
  5. Jehovah Shalom – The Lord is our Peace (Judges 6:24)
  6. Jehovah Tsidkenu – The Lord our Righteousness (Jeremiah 23:6)
  7. Jehovah Shammah – The Lord is There or Present (Ezekiel 48:35)

Remember God is revealing who He is and what He does, but also what it is His will to do for us.  These are eternal truths that are established in heaven (Psalm 89:34 & Psalm 119:89), now God wants them established in us and in our lives.  So the question is, how do we do that?  By the confession of our faith.  Simply, yet powerfully, Jesus becomes in our lives what we confess Him to be!  So what are we calling Jesus in our lives?  Here is the key; we must make Him our personal healer, deliverer, provider, and miracle worker.  We do this by confessing Him as or calling Him these things in our lives.  When we do, He becomes that to us.  As far as God is concerned, He already is, but in our lives, He becomes that through our personal faith confessions.  I encourage you to let Jesus be all He is to you and begin today!
