Where Does Your Help Come From?

I have a simple yet important question to ask, have you ever needed help? Sure, chances are there have been many times you’ve been overwhelmed and felt the need for help. Most everyone can attest to that. Now, one more important question, where does your help come from? Thank God for all the avenues help can come to us through those around us. I’m certainly not making light of that but as believers, where does our greatest help come from? Well, you know the answer, from the Lord. There are simply times in our lives where we will fall short unless we receive spiritual, emotional, physical, and financial help from the Lord.

As we turn the pages of the Bible, we find example after example of those who needed help, just like you and I do, and how their trust in God brought the help they really needed. So I want to simply share a few scriptures that will produce faith in your heart and life so you can receive the ultimate help you need which comes from the Lord. So enjoy and receive help from the Lord.

Psalms 46:1 NKJV

God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.

Psalms 37:40 NKJV

And the Lord shall help them and deliver them;
He shall deliver them from the wicked,
And save them,
Because they trust in Him.

Psalms 42:5 NKJV

Why are you cast down, O my soul?
And why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God for I shall yet praise Him
For the help of His countenance.

Psalms 94:17-19 NKJV

Unless the Lord had been my help,
My soul would soon have settled in silence.

If I say, “My foot slips,”
Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up.

In the multitude of my anxieties within me,
Your comforts delight my soul.

Psalms 121:1-2 NKJV

I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?

My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.

Psalms 124:8 NKJV

Our help is in the name of the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.

Isaiah 41:10,13 NKJV

Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand,
Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’

Hebrews 4:16 NKJV

Let us, therefore, come boldly to the throne of grace,

that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
