Vision
It has been said
that vision is guiding purpose. In Proverbs 29:18 the Word
of God states, “Where there is no vision the people perish”.
Therefore, vision was designed to cause men to see the will
of God and understand how to accomplish it.
At Cornerstone Fellowship Church, the vision, “Becoming all
things to all men”,
I Corinthians 9:22, is directing our congregation in the way
God would have us to go. Man’s most basic need is a
relationship with Jesus Christ, and, it is for this purpose
that the gospel is preached. We desire that every individual
would know God and grow mightily in their relationship with
Him.
Mission
We also have a
mission to accomplish. II Timothy 3:16, 17 in the J. B.
Phillips translation states, “The Word of God is useful for
resetting the direction of a man’s life and training him in
good living”. Our mission is to make this man for God,
through the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit in
his life. Discipleship, therefore, becomes key in each
believer’s life. It is in the local church that God desires
this to be accomplished.
Goal
Lastly, we also have
a goal. Our goal is to equip the saints so that they are
actively involved in the work of the ministry. Learning to
be good stewards of the grace of God upon one’s life brings
great fulfillment and eternal rewards. Faithfulness to God
and His plans will bring the promotion of God’s will and
blessing in each life. |
